Dead Man Walking performed at the Cabrillo College Theater, Cabrillo College, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, opening on February 8, 2008 and playing until February 24.
Author Tim Robbins based the play on Sister Helen Prejean’s best-selling
book, where she records her journey as an advisor to a death row
prisoner. The play takes us through Sister Prejean’s personal and
spiritual evolution into both a death penalty opponent and victims
advocate. The Washington Post wrote that Sr.
Prejean’s chronicle was “destined to become the most influential
anti-capital punishment statement”.
