A "fun-raiser" for the Pisces Moon Young Company under the artistic direction of Terri Steinmann
directed by Eleni Giannis
January 12 - 21, 2007
at the Broadway Playhouse in the Santa Cruz Art League 526 Broadway, Santa Cruz
Written a decade ago by Daniel Sullivan, the Tony Award-winning director of Proof, Inspecting Carol is a rollicking holiday fusion of Noises Off, Waiting For Guffman, and Gogol's The Inspector General. A small-time, small-town equity company is organizing the twenty-somethingth production of their annual (and ONLY) bread-winner, A Christmas Carol when they get word that an inspector from the National Endowment of the Arts will be dropping in. Tension mounts as it becomes clear that the inspector's assessment will decide the company's fate. Enter an incompetent actor who gets mistaken for said NEA inspector and the laughter never stops! This hilarious and heart-felt play will keep your family's holiday spirit alive.
